Prayer to St. Jude

O most holy apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of. Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone.

Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly (state your request) and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever.

I promise, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.

Amen.

During your daily prayers, please remember the sick and deceased of our parish community, those in our Book of Intentions.

Please pray for:

• Deacon Tom Gillen, Deacon Ken Geoghan, and Deacon Mark Herrmann; that they may all be in good health to serve our parish community.
• All of the victims of violence, those affected by terrorism, and other forms of abuse.
• All those dedicated to protecting, rescuing and serving the people of the United States.
• Please pray for those that are awaiting medical test results; that they may find the loving hands of the Lord are there to hold them during their time of anticipation and uncertainty.
• Our Parish Family.
• Our Priests, Deacons and other Church officials.
• All of our ministries at St. Jude's, that the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ may be spread to all whom are searching to know him.
• For those children that are not yet born.
• For all couples suffering with infertility, that St. Jude will intercede for them that they may be blessed with children.
• For those who have lost their faith, that they may recognize the Holy Spirit and be brough home. And just like the prodigal son, may we all be like the son's father and welcome them with open arms.
• For those with substance addictions; that they may recognize their cry for the Lord and find the Holy Spirit to guide them to healthier ways of life.
• For those afflicted with chronic pain and physical suffering; let them know that the comfort of the Lord is their hope.
• For the poor in spirit that they may see the the glory of God.
• Those that are unemployed or seeking to change employment or careers.
• All the broken hearts.
• For those marriages that are on the verge of crumbling, that they may allow God's love to enter and rejuvenate their relationship.
• For those that have lost a loved one, that they are able to rejoice in knowing that they are in God's ever-loving arms.
• Please pray for those afflicted by cancer.
• For those undergoing surgery and/or other medical procedures.
• For the doctors and caregivers that we entrust with our faith, that they, as well as us, are guided by the Lord with utmost love and compassion.
• That the internet may be used as a tool to enhance Christ's teachings.
• Those people who are uncertain of their career decisions that they may open to your guidance.
• Those that are contemplating buying and/or selling their home, that their decisions are made with your guiding hands through your spirit.
• Please help us in our time of need.  My parents are desperate with worry and their anxiety is nearly overwhelming.  Please help us to pray to St. Jude, to keep our family together and to help me overcome my crushing worries and fears.  We're almost paralyzed in our actions, and don't know where to turn.  St. Jude has interceded for me before, and I ask for his help now.  And your prayers. Amen.  Thank you.
